Byomkesh Bakshi is a 2015 Bengali-language Mystery Thriller movie written and directed by Anjan Dutt and produced by Kaustuv Ray under the banner of RP Techvision Pvt. Ltd. in collaboration with Anjan Dutt Production. A murder gone wrong, leaving four suspects on the way in the eastern coalfield region of India. Byomkesh bakshi stars Jishu Sengupta in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Saswata Chatterjee, Koushik Sen, Shantilal Mukherjee, Chandan Sen, Ankita Chakraborty and Prantik Banerjee. The film is based on Kohen Kobi Kalidas by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay. The music was composed by Neel Dutt. Editing was done by Arghyakamal Mitra. The movie has a running time of 110 Minutes. It was released on 16th October 2015. The Film was successful at box office. Byomkesh Bakshi was made on a budget of ₹75 lakh and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹1 crore. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Bakliwal Pictures Pvt. Ltd.
