Chak daan juen ga is a 2017 Cantonese-language Action Crime motion picture written by Herman Yau and Erica Li. The movie is directed by Herman Yau and produced by Andy Lau, Alvin Lam, Chan Pui-wah, Esther Koo and Alice Chan under the banner of Universe Entertainment in collaboration with Infinitus Entertainment and Bona Film Group. Chak daan juen ga stars Andy Lau in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Jiang Wu, Song Jia, Philip Keung, Ron Ng, Wu Jiang and Jia Song. The music was composed by Mak Chun Hung. Cinematography was done by Joe Chan and editing by Azrael Chung. The motion picture has a running time of 118 minutes. It was released on 20th April 2017. The Film was successful at box office. Chak daan juen ga was made on a budget of ₹2 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of $68 million. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Universe Films Distribution. JS Cheung (by Andy Lau), a Superintendent in Explosive Ordnance Disposal Bureau (EOD) of Hong Kong Police Force, went undercover seven years ago into the gang led by the most-wanted crime boss Peng Hong (by Andy Lau). Cheung successfully uprooted the gang and arrested a few robbers including Hong's younger brother Biao. However, Hong was on the loose and he swore he'd be back for revenge. Seven years have passed and Hong kick starts his plan - a series of bomb attacks have sparked fear among Hong Kong citizens. To maintain law and order, Cheung must put Hong behind bars and he is ready to sacrifice his life to fight a tough battle with the ruthless bomber.
