Chihayafuru Part 3 is a 2018 Japanese-language Drama movie directed by Norihiro Koizumi and produced by Ky Hei Sudate under the banner of Robot. Taking place two years after the showdown between Chihaya and Shinobu at the National Karuta Competion, Chihaya is a high school girl who, alongside her friends, enters another national competition against Shinobu. Hideo Harada has, in the meantime, been crushed by losing to a master player. The high school friends must also restore their master's honour. Written by aghaemi. Chihayafuru part 3 features Suzu Hirose, Sh Hei Nomura, Mackenyu Arata, Mone Kamishiraishi, Y Ma Yamoto, Y Ki Morinaga and Mio Yûki. The screenplay is written by Norihiro Koizumi which is inspired from Chihayafuru by Yuki Suetsugu. The music was composed by Masaru Yokoyama. Cinematography was done by Hiroo Yanagida and editing by Junnosuke Hogaki. The film has a running time of 128 min. It was released on 17th March 2018. The motion picture made a box office gross of ¥1730 million. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Toho.
