Fireflies in the Abyss is a 2015 English-language Documentary Drama movie written and directed by Chandrasekhar Reddy and produced by Chandrasekhar Reddy. In the Jaintia Hills of Northeast India, boys and men descend into the abyss of the 'rat-holes' to scratch coal out of hard rock.. Fireflies in the abyss stars Nishant Rai in the lead role along with Raj Rai and Suraj Subba in supporting roles. It was released on 1st July 2015. The film made a box office gross of ₹2 lakh.
