Proof is a 2005 American English-language Drama Mystery film starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Anthony Hopkins, Jake Gyllenhaal, Hope Davis, Danny Mccarthy, Tobiasz Daszkiewicz and Brigitte Wulf. The movie is based on Proof by David Auburn. Complicating matters are one of her father's ex-students, who wants to search through his papers, and her estranged sister, who shows up to help settle his affairs. Proof was Produced by Alison Owen, Jeffrey Sharp and John Hart. Proof is written by David Auburn and Rebecca Miller and it is directed by John Madden. Miramax Films acquired the distribution rights for the film. The film has a running time of 100 minutes. Proof was made on a budget of $20 million and at the box office it grossed only $14 million. Cinematography was done by Alwin H. K chler and editing by Mick Audsley. The music was composed by Stephen Warbeck.
