Raghu Romeo is a 2003 Hindi-language Comedy motion picture written by Rajat Kapoor, Sanjeev Sharma and Saurabh Shukla. The movie is directed by Rajat Kapoor and produced by Naseeruddin Shah and Narayan Hosmane under the banner of Swastik Productions. An employee (Vijay Raaz) at a strip club kidnaps his favorite actress (Maria Goretti) to protect her from mob hit men. Raghu romeo features Vijay Raaz in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Nishikant Dixit, Sadiya Siddiqui, Maria Goretti, Saurabh Shukla, Veerendra Saxena and Vijay Patkar. The music was composed by Pritam. Cinematography was done by Rafey Mehmood and editing by Suresh Pai. It was released on 18th June 2004. Raghu Romeo was made on a budget of ₹50 lakh and at the box office it grossed only ₹16 lakh. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Star India. At the 2004 National Film Awards It won an award for Best Regional Film (Hindi).
