The movie is directed by Narayana Rao Uppalapati, R.r. Shinde and Uppalapati Narayana Rao and produced by Akkineni Venkat under the banner of Annapurna Studios. Rakshana features Akkineni Nagarjuna, Shobhana, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Shobana, Nasser, Salim Ghouse and Silk Smitha. The screenplay is written by Akkineni Venkat and Uppalapati Narayana Rao.
