The Lion Woman is a 2016 English-language Drama film written by Erik Fosnes Hansen and Vibeke Idsøe. The movie is directed by Vibeke Idsøe. In 1912, a Norwegian woman dies in childbirth, leaving behind a daughter born with hypertrichosis, or excessive hair growth, and a grieving husband who hides the girl from gawkers. The lion woman stars Rolf Lassgard, Kjersti Tveterås, Aurora Lindseth-løkka, Mathilde Thomine Storm, Ida Ursin-holm, Karen-lise Mynster and Frédéric Vonhof. It was released on 26th August 2016.
