The Music of Strangers is a 2015 English-language Documentary Musical film directed by Morgan Neville. Cellist Yo-Yo Ma and other international artists of The Silk Road Project discuss their philosophies on music and culture. The music of strangers features Yo-yo Ma in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Kinan Azmeh, Kayhan Kalhor, Cristina Pato, Man Wu, Jonathan Gandelsman and Osvaldo Golijov. It was released on 22nd September 2015. The movie made a box office gross of $1 million.
