The Vanishing is a 2019 English-language Documentary Drama film written by Celyn Jones and Joe Bone. The movie is directed by Kristoffer Nyholm and produced by Gerard Butler, Randy Evans, Maurice Fadida, Andy Evans, Sean Marley, Ade Shannon and Alan Siegel under the banner of Mad As Birds in collaboration with Kodiak Pictures, Cross Creek Pictures, G-BASE, Saban Films and iWood Studios. The vanishing stars Gerard Butler, Peter Mullan, Connor Swindells, Martin Buzora, Lars Jacobsson, Ola Skinnarmo and Gary Mclellan. The music was composed by Benjamin Wallfisch. Cinematography was done by J rgen Johansson and editing by Mike Panikkou. The film has a running time of 107 minutes. It was released on 17th January 2019 and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. The Vanishing was made on a budget of 5 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $14 million. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Lionsgate. A small relief boat approaches the Isle, a tiny isolated island no bigger than a football pitch, 20 miles off a rugged coast. Its aim is to routinely replace the three lighthouse keepers, after 6 weeks alone manning the light. It nears the dock and none of the men greet them. The winch is broken. A call. Nothing.
