BIOGRAPHY

Alfredo James Pacino professionally known as Al Pacino made his debut as an actor in Me, Natalie (1969). It was in 1971 he gained recognition as an actor with the movie The Panic in Needle Park which gave him stardom. There was no turning back after that and Al Pacino at present is considered a very bankable star. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the Tony Awards for Best Featured Actor in a Play for Does a Tiger Wear a Necktie? which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Al Pacinos career so far are Me, Natalie (1969), The Panic in Needle Park (1971), The Godfather (1972), Serpico (1973), The Godfather Part II (1974), Dog Day Afternoon (1975), Scarface (1983), The Godfather Part III (1990), Dick Tracy (1990), Scent of a Woman (1992), Glen Ross (1992), Carlitos Way (1993), Heat (1995), Donnie Brasco (1997), The Devils Advocate (1997), The Insider (1999), Insomnia (2002), Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019) and The Irishman (2019) to name a few. Alfredo James Pacino son of Rose Gerardi and Salvatore Pacino was born on April 25, 1940, in East Harlem neighborhood of New York City. He attended Herman Ridder Junior High School but soon dropped out of most of his classes except for English. He subsequently attended the High School of Performing Arts. He is one of the few performers to have received the Triple Crown of Acting. He has also been honored with the AFI Life Achievement Award.
