Cruel Intentions is a 1999 English-language Drama Romance motion picture written by Choderlos De Laclos and Roger Kumble. The movie is directed by Roger Kumble and produced by Neal H. Moritz under the banner of Original Film in collaboration with Newmarket Capital Group. Two vicious step-siblings of an elite Manhattan prep school make a wager: to deflower the new headmaster's daughter before the start of term. Cruel intentions stars Sarah Michelle Gellar in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Ryan Phillippe, Reese Witherspoon, Selma Blair, Louise Fletcher, Joshua Jackson and Eric Mabius.
