Gandhi is a 1982 English-language Drama Biography movie written by John Briley and directed by Richard Attenborough and produced by Richard Attenborough under the banner of Amblin Television in collaboration with Paramount Television and 20th Century Fox Television. Gandhi's character is fully explained as a man of nonviolence. Through his patience, he is able to drive the British out of the subcontinent. And the stubborn nature of Jinnah and his commitment towards Pakistan is portrayed. Gandhi stars Candice Bergen in the lead role along with Edward Fox, John Gielgud, Trevor Howard, John Mills, Martin Sheen and Ben Kingsley in supporting roles. The music was composed by Ravi Shankar along with George Fenton. Cinematography was done by Billy Williams and Ronnie Taylor and editing by John Bloom. The film has a running time of 191 minutes.
