Tabu Hashmi

Tabassum Fatima Hashmi professionally known as Tabu made her debut as a lead actor in the film Coolie No. 1 (1991). It was not until 1996 she got recognized as an actor with the movie Maachis which gave her stardom. There was no turning back after that and Tabu is considered a very bankable star. She has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to her credit. Her maiden award was the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for Vijaypath which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Tabus career so far are Vijaypath (1994), Maachis (1996), Ninne Pelladata (1996), Saajan Chale Sasural (1996), Virasat (1997), Biwi No.1 (1999), Hum Saath-Saath Hain (1999), Hu Tu Tu (1999), Astitva (2000), Kandukondain Kandukondain (2000), Chandni Bar (2001), Maqbool (2003), The Namesake (2003), Cheeni Kum (2007), Pandurangadu (2008), Jai Ho (2014), Haider (2014), Drishyam (2015), Golmaal Again (2017), and Andhadhun (2018) to name a few. Tabu daughter of Jamal Hashmi and Rizwana was born on 4 November 1971 in Hyderabad. She completed her schooling at St. Anns High School, Vijayanagar Colony. She then studied at St. Xaviers College for two years.
