She is the wife of veteran actor Ramesh Deo & mother of Actor Ajinkya Deo & noted Director Abhinay Deo.She belongs to the Goud Saraswat Brahmin (GSB) family hailing from Karnataka. She was born and brought up in Girgaum, Mumbai.
