Once Upon a Time is a 1987 Tagalog-language Comedy Adventure motion picture directed by George Scribner. Once Upon a Time was produced under the production house Walt Disney Pictures in collaboration with Walt Disney Feature Animation and Silver Screen Partners III. The Tikbalang Puga searches for the magic crystal which will restore peace in his land. His dangerous quest leads him to earth where he meets three young men. Once upon a time stars Joey Lawrence in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Billy Joel, Natalie Gregory, Cheech Marin, Bette Midler, Robert Loggia and Richard Mulligan. The screenplay is written by Jim Cox, Tim Disney and James Mangold which is inspired from Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. The music was composed by J. A. C. Redford. The movie has a running time of 73 minutes. It was released on 4th January 1987. The Film was successful at box office. Once Upon a Time was made on a budget of $31 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $74 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Buena Vista Pictures Distribution.
