Prakash Raj made his debut in Tamil cinema through Duet (1994). It was in 1998 he got recognized as an actor with the movie Iruvar which gave him stardom. There was no turning back after that. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the Tamil Nadu State Film Awards for Best Villain for Kalki which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Prakash Rajs career so far are Duet (1994), Indraprastham (1996), Nagamandala (1997), Antahpuram (1998), Ghilli (2004), Saroja (2008), Abhiyum Naanum (2008), Wanted (2009), Singham (2011), Dabangg 2 (2012), Mumbai Mirror (2013), Thoongaa Vanam (2015) and Bharat Ane Nenu (2018) to name a few. Prakash Raj son of Manjunath Rai and Swarnalatha Raj was born on 26 March 1965 in Bangalore. He completed his schooling at St. Josephs Indian High School. He then pursued his Bachelors degree from St. Josephs College of Commerce.
